In this article we are looking at the RACI you may use to deliver the FinOps Service to your customers.  Note this is aimed at a larger MSP scaling the offering across a lot of customers.

How This Plays Out

  • FinOps Practice Lead → Owns governance, strategy, and big decisions.

  • FinOps Analyst → Core day-to-day execution (reports, savings, analysis).

  • Cloud Engineer → Implements automation, fixes technical inefficiencies.

  • Finance Specialist → Ensures financial alignment, chargeback models, ROI tracking.

  • Customer Success Manager → Runs comms, meetings, exec reviews.

  • Customer IT + Finance → Consulted and aligned (you’re bridging the gap).
